Hi! And welcome! My goal & heart behind this space, is to share design inspiration, advice, ideas, & content that ultimately will help you love your home. Home should be our sanctuary; our little area of the world where we can be ourselves, with our people. Where we can bring the good & bad, while coming and going with comfort & ease. The time we spend here will be the most imprinting, memorable, & life-shaping times of our lives - we should absolutely love it here!
A little about me: I am a wife to my high school sweetheart. We have a 5 year old blonde haired, blue eyed daughter, Elizabeth, & a 21 month old son, ((William)) Luke (who we mostly call dubs, dubba dub, bubbas, etc.)
I have an architecture degree with an interior design minor. Right out of college, I was working full time for an architecture firm, & continued to do so until my daughter was 18 months old.
My goal was always to be able to stay at home with my babies, for however long that would/could be. I now am doing that, spending most of my time with the “little wolves,” but am also a team/company of one, working from home on architecture and interior design projects for local clients & doing a lot of virtual E-Design (SO thankful for the gift of technology!) I squeeze in work in the early mornings, during nap time, & on days my wonderful mama watches my kids for me. I (really, truly) could not do this without her in so many ways!
I love to create spaces that are functional, beautiful, simple, and reflective of the people who live in and use them. Whether that be taking down walls, building new ones, changing a floor plan, updating materials/finishes, new furniture + décor, picking paint colors.. when a space is perfectly functional for a family and draws peace, comfort, and beauty out for them, that is the biggest reward.
My style is a little bit modern, with some coastal influences, combined with lots of classic + transitional details that make a space feel timeless, yet fresh.
A lot of what I will share will be our own home – a builder spec house that we bought two years ago, & have been adding details + making changes to make it feel more like a custom home. I may also share some family/mom life & simplicity/organizational tips from time to time; I think all of those areas are connected in helping us love our homes and live our best lives in these lovely spaces where our families grow. Finding ways to navigate these ideas and bring them together, makes me excited!
So, let’s share, inspire, chat, brainstorm.. and let’s love home!
I was already a fan but after reading the blog I am really excited to see future projects. I know any client will see you work ethics and passion but I know you will put a piece of you in every project and that is why you will be very successful.
I love how you describe your home sanctuary. It’s so easy to get bogged down in all the stuff that goes on each day. Hearing you describe “home” inspires me to believe I can create that for myself too.
